Awesome Kids Movie Villains You Almost Forgot About

So I was feeling nostalgic (AGAIN!) thinking about how fun kids movie villains can be. OK sure, they spend a lot of time making silly faces and tripping over their own feet. But some really take that character and run with it. Let's revisit a few of my favorites!

Meredith Blake (Elaine Hendrix), The Parent Trap
I love a rich bitch! I watched this movie a lot when it came out, and I can't get enough of how awful Meredith Blake was. I want her wardrobe, though.

Warden Walker (Sigourney Weaver), Holes
She's mean and she's greedy, and that's pretty much all you need a villain to be in a family movie. But she takes it a step further: she paints her nails with rattlesnake venom and then claws somebody in the face! Badass!

Miss Minchin (Eleanor Bron), A Little Princess
Is this an all-female list? Hmm. Okay, let's go with that. This lady is COLD. She tells a little girl whose father just died and is now dirt-poor that she's "not a princess any longer." AND she steals her locket with her parents' pictures in it! And she tries to get this poor starving girl arrested! Bitch bitch BITCH!

Duchess the Cat (Russi Taylor), Babe
Does anyone else remember the "pigs don't have a purpose" speech the cat gives to poor little Babe? So EVIL!

Trunchbull (Pam Ferris), Matilda
I'm kind of surprised that an actual human being plays her. She's terrifying. And she throws somebody over a fence by their hair.

Other Mother (Teri Hatcher), Coraline
This movie is so underrated! Love it, and love the Other Mother for her sheer scariness.

Miss Hannigan (Carol Burnett), Annie
Her "Little Girls" rendition is genius. And so is she.

Aunt Spiker (Joanna Lumley) and Aunt Sponge (Miriam Margolyes), James and the Giant Peach
AAAAAH! AAAAAAAAAAH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Regina (Debi Mazar), Beethoven's 2nd
Please don't actually see this movie. I just think she was a hoot, mostly because she looks like evil 1950s Barbie.

Cruella De Vil (Glenn Close), 101 Dalmatians
Just rewatched this, and she is AMAZING in this. Amazing. I love her.  No explanation needed.

Who's your favorite? Any I missed?
